New Hampshire should be picked up and dropped into the sea.

Posted in January 9th, 2008

So, Hillary Clinton won the Democratic Primaries in New Hampshire last night. That is unfortunate. It’s not that I love Obama, I just loathe Hillary. She is playing the game to win and the Obama campaign just doesn’t seem to get this. Hillary the DevilLook at the next four states: Nevada, Michigan, South Carolina and Florida. Nobody cares about Nevada. People do care about Michigan, and Obama/Edwards won’t be on the ballot because they went along with the DNC boycott. Can they not understand that playing by the rules will instantly put them at a disadvantage when we/they/everyone should know that Hillary won’t play by those same rules?

Obama needs to win in South Carolina, and win big. Otherwise Hillary heads into Florida, another state stripped of delegates, with momentum she really won’t have earned and doesn’t deserve. She’ll have another automatic advantage in a state full of ex-New Yorkers and religious wackos.

Then on to SuperduperTuesday, New York and Illinois will basically cancel each other out. Obama’s not picking up much steam in California as far as I know. I hope there’s a plan in there somewhere. If he’s smart, he’ll keep playing the underdog like he did in Iowa. It’s a working strategy, and he needs to do what works if he wants to get through Feb. 5th.

I know you’re asking yourself, “How could this happen?” Well, I don’t have an answer quite yet. I would, however, like to point out a few things. I knew someone who worked on the Dean campaign in 2004, and it was interesting to hear about some of the backroom stuff that goes on with polling. For example, one candidate’s camp had already called all of its strong supporters two months before the primaries, and told them that if they were to receive a call from the polls, that they were to say they supported Dean. That way, the Dean campaign rolled into Iowa thinking that they had a 4 - 5 point lead over all other candidates, and worked from a position of assumed strength. However, over the next few weeks, the planted supporters were told to switch back, and Dean’s numbers started dropping like a rock. They stumbled, lost Iowa, and never recovered. Does this sound like something that the Clintons could pull off? I’m not pointing fingers.

The polls nailed the Iowa primary, nailed the republican New Hampshire primary, and got the numbers right for all Democratic candidates EXCEPT Obama and Clinton. A rat? I smell one. I read several articles which proposed everything from the “tears” humanizing Hillary at the last moment to racism. But given a 2.8% lead by Hillary over Obama, it’s probably the fact that 65% of Democrat voters were women (who have one of the lowest turnouts as a rule) and that they exceptionally and unexpectedly turned out in record numbers (especially over-40s) to vote for their own. It also appears that the waterworks Hillary cooked up A DAY BEFORE THE PRIMARY actually worked only strengthening my belief that women shouldn’t be allowed to vote. Hillary: “*Sob* I have a vagina so I should be presidentnt!” New Hampshire Women: “I find you logic suitable, you have my vote.” Me: “END WOMENS SUFFRAGE!”

Recently there was a reporter at a Hillary rally and he asked a security guard what he found interesting about the surge of Hillary supporters. The security guard replied, “Do you want to see something interesting? Go out into the parking lot and look at the license plates.” Am I saying that the Clintons bused people into New Hampshire from New York to pad their numbers? Of course not. I would never accuse a political candidate of doing something underhanded. I mean, it’s not like the Clintons would cheat.

And in a completely unrelated story, Hillary won nearly all of the precincts that ran out of ballots yesterday. I guess it’s a good thing they rushed all of the extra ballots in at the end of the day from New York.

On the bright side, 9iu11iani’s campaign has imploded like the twin towers. I’ll take an aisle seat please.

A Quick Rundown

This site is dedicated to all the shit I like. You know, those things you read that are so irreverent, ricockulous, outlandish, eccentric and off-the-wall that your only response is to sit back in your chair and ask, "WTF?!!?" This site has nothing to do with you nor what you're interested in. If you have neither a sense of humor nor a fondness for satire, it's probably better that you hit your browser's 'back' button and find something else to read.
